Caradoc Delaware Mutual is a true mutual, which means that each policyholder actually owns a portion of the company. Each year at our Annual Meeting directors for our Board are elected from amongst the policyholders. The board is responsible for ensuring that the management of the company follows the guidelines and directions that they have laid out for the operation of the company. Since we are service rather than profit oriented, the board may decide to refund a portion of your insurance premium to you at the end of a financial year where we have exceptional results. Over $1 million has been refunded to our policyholders during the past eleven years .

Will you insure my property?

If you live within, or close to, the Middlesex County area of South-Western Ontario, we will be happy to quote on your insurance needs. All applications for insurance must be approved by the Board of Directors before acceptance.

Is it safe to insure with a small company?

Caradoc Delaware Mutual is a member of the Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan and the Fire Mutuals Guarantee Fund. These organizations provide efficient access to reinsurance contracts and solvency protection which ensures that we are part of one of the strongest and most stable insurance organizations in the world. As well, Caradoc Delaware is one of 47 members of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association who provide training, research, product development, and expertise to the members.
